Z Brings Us the Zinnia

Z-day brings us the lovely zinnia.

I can't believe I made it from A to Z with this blog, but I'm ecstatic that it's finally Z-Day!  Since I have three other blogs to finish today plus some other writing deadlines (and starting another challenge on Monday, Z to A with my local blog), I'm cheating with just photos here again.

I don't have any in my garden currently, but I think the zinnia is a lovely flower, don't you?

Thanks for following along with me on the journey from A to Z with gardening and chicken farming.  It's been a fun month!  If you're up for another challenge, I've started one for May (but I'll be doing that with only one of my blogs rather than four).  You can find the link below my signature.

Zinnias are one of my favorites, and I plant them every year. I love the different colors, and they are great for cutting and making arrangements. They also attract butterflies; last summer I counted 76 butterflies at one time fluttering in my zinnia bed!

My friend gave me a bouquet of zinnias and dahlias for my 12th birthday. I think it was the prettiest bouquet I've ever seen.

Your blog is beautiful Marie! I came by to make sure I had the right link to send a potential fan who shares some of your interests and it looks like you've been working hard here! I haven't read the torrential rain entry yet...hope it's not too bad a tale.
