Pretty Yellow Flowers

Isn't yellow the perfect color for the first spring flowers?  After a gloomy winter, such a bright color is a welcome sight and is a reminder of sunny days ahead (well, not right now in Ohio, that's for sure).

Forsythia blooming is usually one of the first signs of spring.

Followed by the lovely yellow daffodil, this from my own garden.

I wanted sunflowers, but since I forgot to plant them (again),
this picture of the pretty yellow giants will have to do.

No yellow tulips for me, all of mine are red.  But aren't these pretty?

And I don't think these yellow fluffy-tops need explanation.

I like most flowers (with the exception of roses), but I have a special fondness for daisies, lilies, tulips, and dandelions (Uh-huh! They are so flowers!)

I’m A-Z Blogging and my “Y” post is right here.

Favorite yellow flower - and fave for all time - is the dandelion. It's not true that I cultivate them but I would if I had to. Luckily, they can do it nicely themselves.

We planted some yellow mums this year and they are so pretty paired with the purple mums. Great post.

My favorite is the sunflower. I planted some pretty red ones this year instead of yellow. I'm not too sure how much I will like them. Guess I will find out when they come up.
