E Means We Have Eggs

Big surprise that E Day would mean Eggs on this blog, right?  Let's eggsplore the egg.

First egg , on the coop floor

Add plastic egg to show the girls where it's done

Huge egg next to store-bought egg
(My girls don't mess around)

Tiny egg (as small as a robin's egg)
Someone had an off day

Same tiny egg

Un-eggsiting bag of shavings

... hiding a clutch of eggs

Someone got IN the shavings

Pretty eggs, all color coordinated

Double-Yolk Egg

How 'bout them eggs?

I'm taking the A-Z Blogging Challenge, where I will post something from each letter of the alphabet on the corresponding day in April, except for Sunday, on at least one if not all four of my blogs. You can see my other blogs in the sidebar - More of Marie Anne.

I had to laugh when I read your first line. Eggs is egg-xactly what I would have expected you to write about on this blog.

And now I'm learning about eggs. I hadn't really thought that the same hen would produce different size eggs. Sort of a Duh! moment.

Ooohhh!! I just love fresh eggs. They are so much better than store eggs.

That double yolk looks pretty good - and fresh, fresh eggs .. what could be better .. cheers Hilary

Please tell me "your girls" are for the purpose of producing eggs only. You don't chop off their heads and fry them, do you? (I'm holding my breath.)

I love getting eggs; as much as I love baby chicks.
