Big surprise that E Day would mean Eggs on this blog, right? Let's eggsplore the egg.
First egg , on the coop floor |
Add plastic egg to show the girls where it's done |
Huge egg next to store-bought egg (My girls don't mess around) |
Tiny egg (as small as a robin's egg) Someone had an off day |
Same tiny egg |
Un-eggsiting bag of shavings |
... hiding a clutch of eggs |
Someone got IN the shavings |
Pretty eggs, all color coordinated |
Double-Yolk Egg |

I had to laugh when I read your first line. Eggs is egg-xactly what I would have expected you to write about on this blog.
You're a farmer too?! Is there anything you don't do? Lol.
And now I'm learning about eggs. I hadn't really thought that the same hen would produce different size eggs. Sort of a Duh! moment.
Ooohhh!! I just love fresh eggs. They are so much better than store eggs.
Hi Marie Anne .. wonderful pix of eggs - different sizes etc and as you say colour co-ordinated completely!
That double yolk looks pretty good - and fresh, fresh eggs .. what could be better .. cheers Hilary
Please tell me "your girls" are for the purpose of producing eggs only. You don't chop off their heads and fry them, do you? (I'm holding my breath.)
I love getting eggs; as much as I love baby chicks.
